Hello! I just read of your upcoming trip to H40 and H44, and was very
excited to learn that you will be opertating digital modes and also are
taking a 6 element yagi for 6m :-) Will you also have an amplifier for
6m, or will you only have 100w? More power would really make a
difference on EME, but I would be willing to try it even if you have
only 100w. I would like to make some JT65A mode skeds with you during
your moonrise. Do you know what your grid locator will be from H40 and
H44? Will you have a good clear horizon looking out over the ocean on
your moonrise to the east?
I have worked 48 DXCC so far on 6m EME, and most of those contacts were
made with single yagi stations during their moonrise or moonset. More

I also still need HL, so I would be VERY anxious to practice with you on
your moonrise before you leave for your trip ;-) There also are some
very active 6m EME stations in Japan you can practice JT65 with locally.
